first pic: pretty much my expression at any given time during the con.

pic of aj and rarity up against each other: i’ll never forget this one cause i was instructing them to “get up against each other as if they were angry at each other”. they did, but not close enough, so i told them to “get closer. squish your boobs together!”. they actually did, after quite some laughter.

pic of discord and chrysalis pulling apart shining armor: i’ll never forget this one either, because as i was instructing them, i suddenly had john delancie behind me. he told them something about going into the main hall. i looked at him, then turned back to instruct the cosplayers, when a sudden flicker of recognition made my brows wrinkle. i turned back around and asked him “are you sir john delancie?”

“No.”

after taking the picture i went after him and shook his hand. quote: “i just wanted to thank you for being on this project…thing…whatever. i can’t think of anything to say.” yep, i seriously had nothing in my head after grabbing his hand. he was cool about it, and i floated back to the cosplayers.

ok, so second day, last few hours. around 3:30 i had a group of people coming up asking me if they could interview me. it was the crew for a site called “my little podcast: frenchy is magic”. With video and everything. i agreed, and after having found their translator, we began. (they all spoke a bit of english, but not well enough for a whole interview apparently. they told me they had two translators, of which one was in line to get an autograph, and the other untraceable.) it was a quite nice interview, and i’m looking forward to the result.

after artist alley closed i walked around taking pictures of cosplayers (see above), and then watched the closing ceremonies.

if you ask me it was a bit overdone, especially when the announcer started screaming “smile, smile, smile” into the mic as everyone was leaving, but it was ok i guess. john delancie got standing ovations for just getting up on stage and a round of applause after every sentence. tara strong and lauren faust had apparently left early, and so we were left with the staff congratulating themselves and the attendants for the rest of the time.
