i haven’t decided entirely on lavender’s personality yet, but in “canon” i’m thinking she takes more after spike and isn’t interested in sewing or running carousel boutique.

Because I’ve been getting this a lot lately, and it does actually bother me.
No, draconies aren’t qilin/kirin.
No, any dragon/pony hybrid isn’t kirin.
That’s like saying any mix between man and bull is a Minotaur.
Qilin might be a mix between dragon and horse (although they are more often likened to deer, along with tiger, ox and fish), but they are not the result of a union between the two species.
I figured that after all those heavy feels it would be nice to have a “typical Rarity moment” to lighten the mood.
So I have an interesting question. What happens if a dracony reproduces with a pony? Obviously the child is 1/4 dragon, but how does this effect the child. Will they have dragon traits physically, or perhaps unnaturally powerful magic? And would the effects very depending on whether the dracony was the mother or father?
